An energy firm in South Wales has confirmed its administration, leading to the loss of nearly 300 jobs. Consumer Energy Solutions (CES), located in Swansea and Treorchy, informed its employees about the redundancies on Friday, citing an inability to continue trading.

CES employs a total of 295 individuals. The roles being eliminated include:

- Heating and Insulation Staff
With the announcement of its administration, administrators have been appointed to assist the affected workers. The company has ceased all operations immediately and will not be completing any ongoing work for customers.

A notice on the CES website detailed the appointment of Joint Administrators James Saunders and Michael Lennon from KR8 Advisory Limited. This appointment took place on January 9, 2026.
