Parks reveals that ‘Ambiguous Desire’ draws influence from notable dance music icons such as Burial, The Streets, and LCD Soundsystem. Additionally, she cites historic queer nightclubs, including New York’s Paradise Garage, as key inspirations for the album’s sound. In her own words, the album encapsulates the essence of desire.

The first single from the album, ‘2SIDED’, combines dark synths and smooth drum breaks. Parks describes the song as an emotional exploration of desire, capturing the essence of “yearning and tension.” She emphasizes that the song represents the courage it takes to articulate one’s feelings into reality.
