The couple was vacationing at the Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon resort in North Ari Atoll during the Christmas period. This particular resort is known for its exceptional diving facilities and includes one of the five Dive & Sail dive-centres in the Maldives.
Experienced Divers
Malcolm, 71, and Elaine, 70, were seasoned recreational divers. They had visited this resort approximately 60 times, spending 17 Christmases there over the years. The couple was planning to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in 2026.
