FBI Arrests Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitive in Mexico for Co-Worker’s Murder

The FBI has captured one of its Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives in Mexico. Alejandro Rosales Castillo, wanted for the 2016 murder of 23-year-old Sandy Ly Le, was arrested recently, according to FBI Director Kash Patel.

On Saturday, Patel announced that Castillo was taken into custody a day earlier. He is now awaiting extradition to North Carolina, where charges against him were filed.

Background of the Case

Sandy Ly Le was murdered in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2016. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has previously charged two other individuals in connection with her death:

  • Felipe Ulloa: Charged as an accessory after the fact of murder.
  • Ahmia Feaster: Surrendered to authorities and was extradited from Mexico. She also faced accessory charges.

FBI’s Recent Achievements

This arrest marks the fifth fugitive capture under the current FBI leadership within the year. Patel highlighted that this achievement surpasses the total number of captures from the previous four years combined.
