Dianne M. Donelson, aged 81, passed away on December 25, 2025, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House in West Seneca, NY. She was surrounded by family during her final moments. Dianne was born on November 8, 1944, in Jamestown, NY, to Rev. F. Eugene Donelson and Marie Paulsen, who have both passed away.

Dianne’s Education and Career

Dianne graduated from Youngsville High School in 1962. She continued her education at Houghton College, earning a degree in elementary education. After graduation, she relocated to Buffalo, NY, where she dedicated 35 years to teaching third grade at Elma Primary within the Iroquois School District.

Even after retiring, Dianne remained committed to education. She volunteered her time by tutoring through Literacy Volunteers, helping many students find success.

Personal Interests and Community Engagement

Dianne enjoyed a variety of hobbies throughout her life. She loved roller skating, traveling abroad, playing the piano, and singing in The Chapel choir. After settling in West Seneca for 48 years, she spent her summers tending to her flower gardens and walking in her neighborhood.

Family was incredibly important to Dianne. She treasured gatherings with her cousins and delighted in capturing memories through photography. As a passionate Buffalo Bills fan, she enjoyed cheering for her favorite team.

Faith and Legacy

Dianne was a devoted Christian who actively supported missions aimed at guiding others to Christ. She is survived by her niece, Julie Eckstrom, her great-niece, Mailee Eckstrom, great-nephew, Peer Eckstrom, and her brother-in-law, Winston Wolfe, all residing in Youngsville, PA. Dianne was preceded in death by her sister, Jean M. Wolfe.

Memorial Service Information

A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 1 PM at Revive Wesleyan/McKinley Campus in Hamburg, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Warren County at 1 Main Avenue, Warren, PA 16365.
