Migrants Discovered on Crete and Rhodes Beaches
The ongoing migrant crisis has drawn attention to the beaches of Crete and Rhodes recently. In a concerning development, authorities discovered dozens of migrants on the islands.

Thirty-four migrants were found on a beach near Kaloi Limenes in southwestern Crete. Most individuals in this group hail from Sudan and Egypt. Among them are a woman and six children.
Following their arrival, the migrants are going through the registration and identification process. Once completed, they will be transferred to a facility in Iraklio for further assistance.
Rhodes Discovery
In a separate incident, Rhodes police discovered 33 migrants on a beach in the island’s southeast. This group includes 12 women and 13 children. Tragically, authorities also found the body of a man in the vicinity.
In response to this discovery, port authorities have launched a preliminary investigation and have scheduled an autopsy. This incident has raised serious concerns regarding safety and the conditions faced by migrants.
