Haas Reveals 2026 F1 Livery with Toyota as Title Sponsor
The Haas Formula 1 team has revealed its 2026 season livery, marking a new chapter with Toyota Gazoo Racing as its title sponsor. This partnership was solidified following a technical collaboration established at the end of 2024. For the upcoming season, the team will officially be known as the ‘TGR Haas F1 Team.’
New Livery Highlights
The updated livery prominently displays Toyota branding across several areas of the car, including:
- Engine cover
- Front wing
- Front halo
Notably, the design introduces significant regulation changes aimed at enhancing performance. This follows Haas’s performance in the 2025 season, where they finished eighth in the championship standings. Drivers Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon will return for this season, contributing to the team’s best points total of 79 since 2018.
Comments from Team Leadership
Gene Haas, the team’s owner, emphasized the challenges faced in competing during 2025 while preparing for the new regulations in 2026. He stated, “The pre-season will be crucial to understand what these cars are capable of.” He expressed confidence in the continuity provided by the returning drivers and the engineering team.
Team principal Ayao Komatsu added, “It feels almost a bit surreal to be unveiling a new car this early in the year.” He highlighted the team’s commitment to preparing for shakedown week in Barcelona. The time spent from season-end to the track debut in January has been intensive.
Design Specifications
The 2026 livery showcases a shift toward a white color scheme, replacing the predominantly black engine cover from the previous year. Red accents pay homage to Toyota’s iconic colors. Initial images indicate that the Haas VF-26 design features a pushrod front suspension as well as a pushrod setup at the rear, along with wide winglets on the front wing.
Upcoming Testing and Competitions
As the season approaches, the team is gearing up for essential testing sessions in Spain and Bahrain. The private testing will commence on January 26, leading up to the opening race in Melbourne from March 6 to 8. Audi is scheduled to unveil its car shortly, adding to the excitement as teams finalize their preparations.
Overall, Haas’s new livery for the 2026 Formula 1 season marks a significant step forward, aligning with Toyota as they aim to enhance performance and competitiveness in the upcoming season.
