Palm Beach County Schools to Close for Martin Luther King Day

Palm Beach County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This holiday provides an extended three-day weekend for students, teachers, and staff.

Events Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.

A variety of events are planned across Palm Beach County to honor Dr. King’s legacy. One of the highlights is the annual scholarship breakfast organized by the Martin Luther King Jr. Coordinating Committee.

  • Location: Palm Beach County Convention Center
  • Purpose: Proceeds from this event will fund scholarships and community grants
  • Support: The event is supported by the Black Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches

In addition to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, students can look forward to several important dates:

Graduation and End of Year Schedule

This school year will conclude with graduation ceremonies beginning on Tuesday, May 5, for Indian Ridge and Palm Beach Virtual School. The final day of school will be Friday, May 29.
