The Cleveland Browns have commenced their second round of head coaching interviews, beginning on a recent Monday. Jim Schwartz, currently serving as the team’s defensive coordinator, was the first candidate to meet with the organization again.

Schwartz’s familiarity with the team gives him an edge. He has been with the Browns since 2023 and previously worked with them in the mid-90s. His head coaching experience with the Detroit Lions, where he recorded a 29-51 record from 2009 to 2013, adds to his credentials.
Other Candidates for the Head Coach Position
In addition to Schwartz, the Browns are set to conduct second interviews with several other coach candidates:
- Mike McDaniel – Former head coach of the Miami Dolphins
- Todd Monken – Offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens
- Grant Udinski – Offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars
- Jesse Minter – Defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers
- Nate Scheelhaase – Pass game coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams
It is important to note that Nate Scheelhaase will not be available for his interview until after the NFC Championship Game concludes.
