  • Carla Brodley – Dean of Inclusive Computing at Northeastern University, leading research in machine learning and promoting inclusive education.
  • Virginia Dignum – Director of AI Policy Lab at Umeå University, specializing in responsible AI and ethics.
  • Vipin Kumar – Regents Professor at the University of Minnesota, researching scalable algorithms and their applications in climate and healthcare through AI.
  • Elham Tabassi – Director at Brookings Institution, focusing on preparing society for an AI-driven future.
  • Dan Weld – Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington, leading research in human-AI interaction and explainable AI.

The AI Index Steering Committee is co-chaired by Yolanda Gil and Ray Perrault. Current members include various leaders in AI, such as Erik Brynjolfsson and James Manyika. Departing members Katrina Ligett and John Etchemendy were acknowledged for their significant contributions.
