£23m Boost for School Edtech and AI Pilot Announced
The UK government has announced a significant investment of £23 million to support a four-year pilot program focused on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and educational technology (edtech) in schools throughout England. Over 1,000 schools and colleges will participate in the upcoming pilot. The Department for Education (DfE) has confirmed plans to recruit educational institutions to test the latest tools and analyze their impact on both student outcomes—particularly for those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)—as well as on teacher workloads.
