Nike Kobe 1 Protro Overview

This release commemorates the Forum, where the Lakers played from 1969 to 1999. The sneaker features aged details that resemble the nearly 60-year-old arena. It boasts cracked white leather overlays on the mudguard, Swoosh, and mustache.

Design Inspiration

The upper is crafted in a dusty blue, reflecting the original colors of the Lakers. Gold-tone metal accents add a touch of elegance, embodying the “City of Champions” theme.

  • Inner-tongue tag showcasing the years spent in the Forum
  • Depiction of the Forum’s arches
  • Insoles with Kobe’s logo and an overhead view of the arena

Release Information

The Nike Kobe 1 Proto will see its first release since 2018. This colorway is reminiscent of Bryant’s legendary 81-point game.

The sneaker originally launched in 2009 and was the first to receive a Protro update in 2018. This upgrade included modern tooling to enhance performance.
