Status Update
The Red Wings recently secured a 2-1 overtime victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Notably, they did not hold a morning skate prior to this game. Goalie Cam Talbot may start after a strong performance from John Gibson, who made 30 saves in the previous matchup.
On the Wild’s side, defenseman Jonas Brodin is out indefinitely following surgery and will miss his fifth consecutive game. Coach John Hynes mentioned that while there is no definitive timeline for Brodin’s return, he does not expect him to be sidelined for the rest of the season.
Additionally, Matt Boldy and Zach Bogosian will not participate in this game, despite participating in morning skate. Boldy is missing his fourth straight game, while Bogosian will miss his ninth. Forwards Joel Eriksson Ek and Marcus Johansson might return, as Eriksson Ek has missed six games and Johansson three.
