Ben Stiller and Benson Boone Highlight Instacart’s Super Bowl Debut
Instacart is set to make its Super Bowl return with a new advertisement featuring Ben Stiller and Benson Boone. This marks the second consecutive year the grocery delivery service will appear during the Big Game. Spike Jonze, known for his creative directorial style, will helm the project, marking his first Super Bowl commercial in two decades.
Ad Campaign Details
Teasers released by Instacart’s internal agency, Local Produce, along with BBDO and McCann, feature Stiller and Boone in retro green outfits. The ads contain two distinct segments titled “Harmonizing” and “Goals.” In “Harmonizing,” Stiller and Boone attempt to sing together. However, tensions arise when Stiller becomes frustrated with Boone’s high notes.
The segment “Goals” depicts Stiller discussing football, only to be interrupted by Boone, who corrects him about the type of football they are referencing. Stiller’s displeasure is evident in his reaction.
Last Year’s Super Bowl Ad
- The previous year’s advertisement featured a lineup of iconic mascots.
- Characters included Kool-Aid Man, Chester Cheetah, Puppy Monkey Baby, and Mr. Clean.
With this new campaign, Instacart aims to capture the audience’s attention again, building on last year’s nostalgic elements. The inclusion of well-known personalities like Stiller and Boone further enhances its appeal.
