Love Island’s Jack Fincham Returns to Rehab for Alcohol and Drug Addiction
Jack Fincham, a former contestant of Love Island, is making significant changes in his life as he prepares to enter rehab for alcohol and drug addiction. The 33-year-old recently admitted to experiencing a relapse and is keen on making a fresh start. He stated, “It’s thanks to The Sun on Sunday,” acknowledging the publication’s role in bringing attention to his struggles.
Jack Fincham’s Journey to Recovery
Fincham’s challenges with substance use have escalated in recent months. He found himself with only £20 to his name while battling addiction. To aid in his recovery, he will be starting a two-month treatment program at Rainford Hall in Merseyside, facilitated by care provider Steps Together. This program is valued at £32,000 and includes therapy six days a week in addition to physical exercise, including sessions with a boxing coach.
Background and Previous Struggles
Jack gained fame after winning Love Island in 2018 alongside Dani Dyer, though their relationship eventually ended. His prior attempts at rehabilitation were not entirely successful, as he relapsed before Christmas 2021. Recently, he recognized that he could not control his drinking, leading to additional substance use.
“I spent thousands doing rehab but didn’t truly believe I had a problem,” Fincham explained. “A few months ago, I thought it’d be OK to have a drink. But it spiraled.” He expressed feelings of embarrassment over his actions during the holiday season, saying, “I’m mortified. I feel like an idiot.”
A Supportive Environment for Healing
Jack Fincham is keen on overcoming his addiction and intends to make the most of his time in rehab. The serene environment of Rainford Hall, surrounded by 600 acres, will provide a conducive setting for recovery. Steps Together has supported over 5,000 adults in the past six years, highlighting their commitment to effective treatment.
According to Deputy CEO Steve Jones, “Jack wants to get better, and we want to help him.” This positive mindset is crucial as Fincham embarks on his recovery journey, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging one’s struggles and actively seeking support.
