Colton Hood: Rising CB Talent

Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood is rapidly gaining attention. Ranked as the 16th overall prospect by NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah, Hood aimed to solidify his status during the National Team practice.

In a gripping one-on-one session, Hood faced SMU wide receiver Jordan Hudson. Demonstrating excellent technique, he successfully disrupted a fade pass intended for Hudson. Although he faced challenges earlier in practice, Hood showcased resilience, stating, “I just knew I had to get my mind right.”

The 5-foot-11 3/4, 188-pound athlete acknowledged the need to prove his long speed and recovery abilities. Transferring from Auburn to Colorado and finally Tennessee, he admitted, “Not having as much film as a lot of the other guys” is a concern. Nonetheless, he aims to excel at the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine, coinciding with his 21st birthday on February 23.

Zion Young: Dominant Edge Rusher

Missouri’s Zion Young made a noticeable impact at the Senior Bowl. After a month off, he expressed enthusiasm about returning to practice, immediately displaying his potential.

Diminishing any doubts about his rustiness, Young excelled in one-on-one matchups against respected offensive linemen. Victories over Arizona State’s Max Iheanachor and Boston College’s Jude Bowry highlighted his competitive spirit.

Standing at 6-foot-5 1/4 and weighing 263 pounds, Young measured in with impressive arm length. During the past two seasons, he recorded 22 tackles for loss, nine sacks, and two forced fumbles, emphasizing his ability to disrupt offensive plays.
