Candidate Profiles
Each candidate brings a wealth of experience to the table, making the selection process critical for the Jets.
Darrell Bevell
Bevell has spent the last four seasons as the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021. Bevell also had a brief stint as interim head coach for the Jaguars late in that season.
Ronald Curry
Curry has been a quarterbacks coach for the Buffalo Bills over the past two years. His coaching career spans several roles on the New Orleans Saints’ staff from 2016 to 2023, where he worked with Aaron Glenn.
Frank Reich
Currently a senior adviser at Stanford, Reich was the interim head coach there during the 2025 season. He guided the team to achieve its highest win total since 2020. Reich has extensive NFL experience, including a recent tenure as head coach of the Carolina Panthers in 2023.
Greg Roman
Roman has an impressive record as an offensive coordinator, serving in this role for 12 out of the last 14 NFL seasons. His prior teams include the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and Los Angeles Chargers.
Lunda Wells
Wells has spent the last six seasons coaching tight ends with the Dallas Cowboys. His experience in developing talent at this position could be a valuable asset for the Jets.
