Currently, Panarin’s first choice is reportedly the Florida Panthers. However, they face financial constraints that may hinder their ability to acquire him. If the Panthers cannot devise a suitable strategy, the Capitals could emerge as the leading option. Panarin’s contract stipulates a full no-movement clause, allowing him to choose where he wants to play.

With only $5.78 million in space, acquiring Panarin, who carries an $11.6 million cap hit, will require the Rangers to potentially retain some of his salary.
