Darron Lee, a former NFL linebacker, is facing serious legal charges in connection with his girlfriend’s murder. On Thursday, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lee at a residence where emergency responders were attempting CPR on a female victim. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), Detectives from the Criminal Investigative Services determined that the woman’s death resulted from homicide, leading to Lee being identified as a suspect. As a result, he has been charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
Background on Darron Lee
Lee was drafted in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, being selected 20th overall by the New York Jets. Over his professional career, he played three seasons with the Jets, followed by one season each with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. He participated in a total of 58 regular-season games and started 38 of them. Notably, he was part of the Chiefs team that won Super Bowl LIV.
