$35M Le Canac Store Set to Open Soon in Laval
The long-awaited Canac hardware store is set to open its doors in Laval. This significant event will occur at 8 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026. It will mark the first branch of the Quebec-based hardware chain in the Greater Montreal area.
Store Location and Features
The new Canac store will be strategically located at the intersection of Curé-Labelle and Saint-Elzéar Ouest boulevards. The store occupies a substantial site covering half a million square feet, close to Highway 440.

Job Creation and Economic Impact

Future Plans
The announcement of this store’s construction was made in December 2024. Canac’s executives expressed an ambition to expand further in the Laval region. They see potential for at least two to three additional branches in the area.
In addition to the Laval location, Canac has plans for a 38th store in Anjou, Montreal, which is scheduled to open in 2027.
