In the final round, Prevc improved her performance but ultimately finished second, as Stroem maintained her lead. The Norwegian athlete clinched victory with a narrow margin of 1.1 points. Prevc expressed her disappointment in her initial interview.

Prevc’s Reflections

  • “It’s tough right after the competition because I know I didn’t achieve everything I set out to do today,” said Prevc.
  • Despite her feelings of disappointment, she acknowledged, “An Olympic medal is still an Olympic medal; everyone desires it.”

She added that she tried to relax during the competition, but the pressure was immense. Prevc believed that the medal ceremony would help her process the experience.

The third-place medal was awarded to Japan’s Nozomi Marujama, who finished 5.5 points behind Prevc. Another Slovenian competitor, Nika Vodan, took eighth place, trailing by 24.8 points.
