South Carolina Tour Stop Canceled as Artists Withdraw
Rock the Country’s planned stop in South Carolina has been officially canceled, following the withdrawal of several high-profile artists. Originally scheduled for July 25-26 in Anderson, S.C., the festival is no longer listed on Rock the Country’s website.
Artists Withdraw from South Carolina Tour Stop
Notable artists such as Shinedown, Ludacris, Morgan Wade, and Carter Faith have exited the festival’s lineup. This has raised questions about the viability of the tour, which was part of an eight-city event.
Cancellation Details
The Anderson County administrator was informed of the cancellation on February 5. The Post and Courier, a Greenville publication, reported this development. However, no specific reasons for the cancellation have been provided.
Remaining Tour Stops
As of February 7, the tour continues with seven other scheduled stops:
- Bellville, Texas – May 1-2
- Bloomingdale, Georgia – May 29-30
- Sioux Falls, South Dakota – June 27-28
- Ashland, Kentucky – July 10-11
- Hastings, Michigan – August 8-9
- Ocala, Florida – August 28-29
- Hamburg, New York – September 11-12
Lineup Changes and Statements
The tour’s lineup includes notable artists such as Kid Rock, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Jelly Roll, and many more. Shinedown, which withdrew on February 6, emphasized their commitment to unity in a statement on social media. They stated, “We do not want to participate in something we believe will create further division.”
The decision by Shinedown followed backlash from fans regarding their participation in the festival. While specific political affiliations have not been addressed by the organizers, the involvement of artists like Aldean and Kid Rock, known supporters of former President Donald Trump, has drawn attention.
As the festival’s date approaches, fans and stakeholders will be watching closely for any further developments or changes to the remaining tour schedule.
