The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has reported a significant drug seizure at the Abbotsford-Huntingdon port of entry in British Columbia. On November 22, 2025, officers intercepted a commercial vehicle returning to Canada from the United States, leading to the discovery of 314 kilograms of methamphetamine.

This operation marked the largest narcotics seizure at this particular port to date. The drugs were hidden in 12 boxes within the truck and trailer, underscoring the ongoing challenges faced by border security agencies.

Arrest and Charges

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Satnam Singh, was arrested and subsequently charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The charges include:

In total, CBSA Detector Dog Service teams conducted 29,486 searches, identifying numerous risks associated with drug smuggling and safety.
