Wichita Eateries Gear Up for Rare Saturday Valentine’s Day
Wichita eateries are preparing for a remarkable Saturday Valentine’s Day this year. With the holiday landing on a weekend, restaurants are bracing for increased foot traffic and busy dining experiences.
FioRito’s High Expectations
FioRito, located at Douglas and Hillside, anticipates record attendance compared to previous years. Co-owner Jordan Rickard mentioned that they exhausted their reservation slots weeks in advance.
“Saturdays are always busy this time of year. With Valentine’s Day falling on a Saturday, we expect it to be one of our busiest,” Rickard stated.
The Teamwork Approach
To handle the surge, FioRito’s staff will be fully engaged. Manager Aubrey Pennington emphasized the importance of being well-prepared. “I want to make sure that we have all the supplies needed, and that guests are happy,” she said.
Pennington described the upcoming weekend as a marathon, not a sprint. “Everyone needs to be in a good mood and ready for a busy environment,” she added.
A Packed Weekend Ahead
FioRito isn’t just gearing up for Valentine’s Day; the restaurant expects to be fully booked throughout the weekend. Pennington estimated that they could serve around 400 guests, noting the challenge of accommodating this number in a dining room designed for only 40.
- Location: FioRito at Douglas and Hillside
- Reservation Status: Fully booked weeks in advance
- Expected Attendance: Approximately 400 customers
- Dining Room Capacity: 40 seats
Valentine’s Day this Saturday offers a perfect opportunity for eateries in Wichita to thrive. Customers seeking a memorable dining experience will find plenty of options as culinary establishments gear up for this special occasion.
