Wigan Warriors Announce Matchday Itinerary
The 2026 Betfred Super League is set to kick off with an exciting match this Sunday at the OneBore. The Wigan Warriors will face off against a revamped team led by coach Ryan Carr. This match marks a significant event as it coincides with the centenary season of the Castleford Tigers.

Fans can look forward to a festive atmosphere, with doors opening at noon. The newly established Fan Zone promises a range of activities leading up to the match.

The Fan Zone will be buzzing with energy until kick-off, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees. Ryan Carr and his squad are expected to arrive at the Arthur Atkinson gate between 1 PM and 1:30 PM. This will allow fans to see the players as they enter the Fan Zone for a pre-match warm-up.
Live Performances
At 1:30 PM, local talent Frankie Jay will entertain the crowd. The non-playing members of the Castleford squad will be available for selfies and autographs at 2:15 PM, providing fans with a chance to interact with their favorite players.
Additionally, a special Dance Through the Decades performance by the Castleford Tigers Foundation will take place at 2:25 PM. DJ Danny Mylo will start the countdown to kick-off with music half an hour before the game. The dance team, Claws, will also perform to elevate the pre-match excitement.
Match Ball Presentation
At the beginning of the match, owner Martin Jepson and new Vice-President John Joyner will present the match ball to the referee, marking a special highlight of the day’s events.
