Paddy Pimblett’s Weight After UFC 324
After his unanimous decision defeat to Justin Gaethje at UFC 324, Pimblett returned to Liverpool. He embarked on a food tour to revisit some of his favorite local eateries. Off the mat, food plays a crucial role in his recovery and relaxation.
Weight Update
In a recent video blog, Pimblett disclosed his current weight, stating, “I weighed myself this morning, I was only 86kgs (190 pounds).” This is significantly less than he has weighed after previous fights. He shared that, in the past, he often reached weights over 90 kilograms (198 pounds).
Culinary Adventures
During his food exploration, Pimblett indulged in a variety of dishes:
- Sandwiches from a restaurant where he eats for free
- A full English breakfast
- Brisket sandwich
- Pancakes for dessert
- Chinese food
Despite enjoying large meals, he maintained a routine of eating typically one substantial meal a day, with snacks in the evening.
Managing Weight Post-Fight
Pimblett acknowledged the weight gain narratives circulating in the media, stating, “I know the title says I got fat again but I’m not that fat.” He emphasized that at 86 kilograms, he feels comfortable and healthy. “We’re doing good. We’re doing all right,” he added, contrasting his weight with heavier figures he referred to as “America fat” around 94-95 kilograms (210 pounds).
Future Plans
As he enjoys his time off from training, Pimblett is looking forward to his next fight in the UFC. He expressed his appreciation for the variety of food available outside of the rigorous fight camp diet, claiming, “Food is definitely the best part after a fight.”
With a professional record now standing at 7-1 in the UFC and 23-4 overall, Pimblett remains focused on his future in the octagon, ready to bounce back from his recent setback.
