Alongside heavy snowfall, periods of freezing drizzle and rain are anticipated, lasting into the weekend. A special weather statement has also been issued for central and northwestern Newfoundland. Snow accumulation of 15 to 25 centimeters is expected from Wednesday morning into Thursday morning, with wind gusts of 50 to 70 km/h possible.
