Alfie Boe Unveils New Album ‘Face Myself’ with Original Songs

Alfie Boe, a celebrated Tony Award winner and international musical theater icon, is set to release his debut album featuring mostly original songs, titled Face Myself. The album is scheduled to launch on April 10, 2026, marking a significant evolution in Boe’s musical journey.

New Single and Album Highlights

The first single from the album, titled Meanwhile Gardens, is currently available for streaming. Face Myself departs from Boe’s usual repertoire of show tunes. Instead, it embraces his Northern roots and indie music influences with heartfelt original tracks.

Creative Process and Inspirations

Produced by the duo MyRiot, known for their work with London Grammar and Primal Scream, this project reflects a long-standing aspiration of Boe’s over the last two decades. He emphasizes the personal nature of the album, stating, “For me, it was a number of moments in the past – my childhood, my teenage years.”

In his songwriting journey, Boe sought guidance from rock legend Pete Townshend. Townshend encouraged him to focus on free writing, advising him not to worry about rhymes but just to express his thoughts.
