United Airlines is enhancing its footprint at Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport, offering expanded options for travelers in central and southeastern Kentucky. The airline is introducing larger aircraft and adding more flights to improve connectivity.
Increased Aircraft Size and Capacity
Starting May 21, United will operate an upgraded Airbus A319 on its daily route from Lexington to Denver. This aircraft will feature 126 seats, providing an increase of over 50 seats compared to the previous model.
More Flights to Chicago
In addition to enhanced capacity on the Denver route, United Airlines is set to increase the number of daily flights between Lexington and Chicago. During peak travel periods this summer, the airline will offer up to seven flights daily.
