Immersive Experience for Fans

Schusser stated, “By bringing F1 on Apple TV to Imax theaters, we are delivering a thrilling experience.” This follows their successful project, “F1: The Movie,” featuring Brad Pitt. The drama showed the significance of Formula 1 on large screens, demonstrating the captivating blend of speed and artistry essential to the sport.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film was shot entirely with Imax-certified cameras and grossed an impressive $654 million globally. Notably, $97.6 million of that revenue was generated from Imax screenings alone.

Future of Formula 1 at Imax

Jonathan Fischer, Imax’s Chief Content Officer, shared enthusiasm for the partnership. He remarked on the film’s success as proof of how well Formula 1 translates to the Imax format. The collaboration aims to enhance live coverage of Formula 1, offering fans in the U.S. an entirely new way to experience this fast-growing sport.

The introduction of live Formula 1 races to Imax screens represents an exciting evolution for both motorsport fans and cinema-goers. This partnership promises to elevate the viewing experience, setting the stage for a thrilling celebration of Formula One’s electrifying prowess.
