Cowboys Sign Javonte Williams to 3-Year, $24 Million Deal

The Dallas Cowboys have secured running back Javonte Williams with a three-year contract valued at $24 million. This decision follows a successful season in which Williams, 25, accumulated a career-high of 1,201 rushing yards and scored 11 touchdowns.

Cowboys’ Rushing Offense Performance

Williams played a crucial role in the Cowboys’ offense, contributing to their ranking as the ninth-best rushing team in the NFL. On average, the team rushed for 125.6 yards per game and achieved 4.6 yards per carry.

Commitment to Williams

During the 2025 season, Williams expressed his fondness for Dallas, stating he valued his teammates and the team’s culture over financial gains. “I love it here,” he mentioned in mid-December, emphasizing his desire to be part of something special rather than just chasing money.

Future Plans

Following the conclusion of the 2025 season, the Cowboys made it clear that retaining Williams was a significant priority. Stephen Jones, the Cowboys COO and co-owner, confirmed in early January, “Javonte’s at the top of our list to go out and sign.”
