Tom Morello Joins Bruce Springsteen for Full “Land of Hope & Dreams Tour”
Renowned guitarist Tom Morello is set to join Bruce Springsteen during the upcoming “Land of Hope & Dreams American Tour.” The Rage Against the Machine member will participate in every concert, performing multiple songs each night alongside the iconic E Street Band. Due to this collaboration, Morello has decided to postpone his own solo performances originally scheduled for May.
Morello’s History with Springsteen
Tom Morello has a notable history with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. He toured as a guest guitarist from 2012 to 2015 and has collaborated in the studio on several occasions. Notably, Morello appeared on Springsteen’s albums “Wrecking Ball” and “High Hopes.” In return, Springsteen contributed to Morello’s project, “The Atlas Underground Fire.” More recently, the two artists performed together at the “Defend Minnesota: A Concert of Solidarity and Resistance,” reinforcing their musical partnership.
Tour Themes and Messages
Springsteen’s “Land of Hope & Dreams Tour” aims to serve as a musical critique of the Trump administration. The tour’s first leg, which started in Europe in 2025, featured politically charged songs such as “Murder Incorporated” and Bob Dylan’s “Chimes of Freedom.” Springsteen also delivered powerful speeches addressing the current state of American democracy during the performances.
Morello on the Importance of Music and Resistance
Reflecting on their recent collaboration, Morello expressed the significance of their musical platform. He stated, “Together, Bruce, the E Street Band, and I are going to turn a spotlight on current threats to democracy and human rights.” Morello emphasized that the tour will promote themes of freedom and justice, resonating with audiences in a time of political instability.
