San Antonio Zoo Unveils Congo Falls, Pollinators for Spring Break!

Visitors to the San Antonio Zoo can look forward to an exciting Spring Break, featuring new attractions and extended hours. From March 6 to March 22, families will have extra time to explore the zoo’s offerings.

Congo Falls: A New Habitat

One of the highlights this season is the debut of Congo Falls. This immersive two-acre habitat is significant as it marks the return of gorillas to the San Antonio Zoo after a hiatus of over 35 years. The design invites guests to engage closely with the gorillas amid a creative landscape that encourages movement and exploration.

Conservation Focus

Congo Falls not only offers a unique viewing experience but also emphasizes the importance of conservation. The habitat is included with general zoo admission and is free for zoo members.

Pollinators: A World-Premiere Attraction

Spring Break visitors will also have the chance to explore the Pollinators exhibit, which runs from February 28 to April 26. This interactive attraction features 12 larger-than-life climbable sculptures in the Go Wild realm.

The exhibit highlights the crucial role of various pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, bats, hummingbirds, and the chocolate midge, in our ecosystems and food production.
