Elvis Presley’s Concert Soundtrack Released

Baz Luhrmann’s film, EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert, showcases rare performances of the King of Rock and Roll. The film combines found footage from Elvis’s Las Vegas residency in 1970 with remastered clips from earlier works. This concert film attempts to provide fresh insights into Elvis’s artistry.

Release Information

The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. It was released in IMAX theaters on February 20, followed by a general release on February 27. This film is Luhrmann’s follow-up to his 2022 biopic, Elvis.

Restoration Process

The film features footage sourced from the Warner Bros. film archives, where 68 boxes of 35mm and 8mm film were discovered. Although the footage lacked sound, Luhrmann’s team successfully restored it and synced it to existing audio.
