Details of the Incident

The Colorado State Patrol confirmed that Ponder died in a single-car accident in Boulder County around 3 a.m. on the same day. Sergeant Ivan Alvarado stated that the 2023 Tesla lost control while navigating a right-hand curve on Baseline Road. The vehicle crossed into the opposite lanes, broke through a guardrail, struck an electrical pole, and rolled over multiple times. Ponder was pronounced dead at the scene.
