Colorado Quarterback Dominiq Ponder Passes Away

Dominiq Ponder, the University of Colorado quarterback, tragically passed away in a single-vehicle accident on Sunday morning. He was just 23 years old. The Colorado State Patrol reported the incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Baseline Road in Boulder County.

Details of the Incident

According to the CSP, Ponder was driving a 2023 Tesla Model 3. He lost control of the vehicle while traveling westbound on Baseline Road. The car crossed into the eastbound lane, hit a guardrail, and continued through it. The Tesla subsequently struck an electrical pole and rolled down an embankment, where it caught fire. Ponder was pronounced dead at the scene, and the investigation suggested that speed might have been a contributing factor.
