SAG Awards 2026 Winners: One Battle After Another, Sinners, The Pitt Dominate The Actor Awards Tonight

The 2026 Actor Awards — formerly known as the SAG Awards — handed out some of Hollywood's most coveted acting honors Sunday night, March 1, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Hosted by Kristen Bell for the third time and streaming live on Netflix, the 32nd annual ceremony set the stage for the Oscars, now just two weeks away.

One Battle After Another and Sinners Lead the Film Race

Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another was the only film represented across all five motion picture categories at the Actor Awards 2026, earning nods for ensemble, Leonardo DiCaprio in lead male actor, Chase Infiniti in lead female actor, Teyana Taylor in supporting female actress, and both Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro in supporting male actor.

Ryan Coogler's Sinners, now the most Oscar-nominated film of all time, followed closely with nominations for its ensemble, Michael B. Jordan in lead male actor, Miles Caton in supporting male actor, and Wunmi Mosaku in supporting female actor.

Sean Penn Wins Supporting Actor for One Battle After Another

Among the early film winners, Sean Penn won Supporting Actor for playing Col. Stephen J. Lockjaw in Warner Bros' One Battle After Another, beating fellow nominee Benicio Del Toro from the same film, as well as Jacob Elordi, Paul Mescal, and Miles Caton from Sinners.

The win signals major Oscar momentum for Penn heading into the Academy Awards on March 15. One Battle After Another now holds a commanding position as the frontrunner in the awards season stretch run, with its ensemble prize still in play.

Seth Rogen Accepts Catherine O'Hara's Actor Award in Emotional Moment

The Studio was named best comedy ensemble, with Seth Rogen winning for best actor in a comedy series. He also accepted the best actress in a comedy series award on behalf of Catherine O'Hara, who died in January, giving a touching tribute to his late co-star.

Seth Rogen said of the late Catherine O'Hara, "She really showed that you can be a genius and be kind," in an emotional speech that drew a standing ovation from the crowd at the Shrine Auditorium.

Noah Wyle, Keri Russell, and The Pitt Sweep Drama TV Categories

On the drama side, The Pitt won for ensemble and Noah Wyle took home best actor in a drama series. Other TV winners included Keri Russell for drama actress for The Diplomat, Michelle Williams for limited series actress for Dying for Sex, and Owen Cooper for limited series actor for Adolescence.

Cooper's win for Adolescence was notable as he beat his on-screen father Stephen Graham in the same category, since the Actor Awards combine lead and supporting performances in the TV limited series categories.
