Famed Philly Pizza Chef Launches London Bar
Renowned Philadelphia pizza chef Joe Beddia is set to make his mark in London with the launch of Bar Etna in spring 2024. Located in Newington Green, this vibrant new venue will showcase Beddia’s expertise in Italian-American cuisine alongside former Philadelphia designer Mike Stampler and chef-restaurateur Ed McIlroy.
Bar Etna: A New Culinary Venture
Bar Etna promises a unique dining experience with a mid-century Milan ambiance. The menu will feature a mix of small plates, baked dishes, and, of course, pizza. The British media has already highlighted exciting items like “aubergine parmigiana,” which reflects Beddia’s Italian-American roots.
Full Bar and Late-Night Access
This North London bar will not only serve food but also a full range of classic cocktails. Beddia has secured a late-night license, something that is hard to come by in London, allowing guests to enjoy their selections well into the night. Desserts will include soft-serve ice cream, a staple Beddia currently offers in Philadelphia.
