On Tuesday, shortly before 12:30 p.m., Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to reports of an “unknown odor” backstage at Disneyland. The source was determined to be building materials used by a contractor, which inadvertently created a hazardous reaction.

Injuries and Medical Response

As a result of the incident, seven cast members were hospitalized after experiencing symptoms such as dizziness and difficulty breathing. Meanwhile, additional employees received on-site treatment from paramedics and were later released.

Precautionary Measures Taken

  • Guests were evacuated from nearby onstage areas as a safety precaution.
  • The Space Mountain ride was evacuated, and the Star Traders gift shop was temporarily closed.
