Lil Wayne Tour expands with new Tha Carter anniversary dates, including Des Moines and two Michigan stops
Lil Wayne Tour routing has been updated with a new batch of dates tied to the ongoing 20th anniversary celebrations for Tha Carter. The expanded itinerary includes a July 16 stop in Des Moines, Iowa, plus two Michigan dates in late July.
What changes with the Lil Wayne Tour itinerary?
The newly listed schedule stretches from a June 30 kickoff in Bangor, Maine, through an Oct. 23 stop in Knoxville, Tennessee. The run includes multiple arena and amphitheater dates across the U. S., with Des Moines now specifically listed for July 16 at Casey’s Center.
Across the added and continuing shows, most dates are set to feature a support set from 2 Chainz. Three California dates list the Game as part of the lineup.
What happens when the Lil Wayne Tour reaches Michigan and the Midwest?
Michigan is set for two consecutive dates: July 24 at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, followed by July 25 at Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids. Venue officials announced the Pine Knob date on Tuesday, and the show listing notes 2 Chainz as a special guest.
In the Midwest, the itinerary also includes July 16 in Des Moines, July 17 in Chicago, and July 18 in Shakopee, Minnesota. Additional nearby routing appears later in the schedule, including a July 23 stop in Columbus, Ohio, and a July 30 stop in St. Louis, Missouri.
For ticketing in Michigan, the Pine Knob show includes an on-sale time of 10 a. m. ET Friday, with a Citi presale starting at 10 a. m. ET Wednesday.
What if the anniversary framing shapes setlists and guest appearances?
The current dates extend the 20th anniversary celebrations for Tha Carter that began last year. The schedule also reflects recent activity connected to the artist’s catalog: last year’s Tha Carter dates aligned with the June release of Tha Carter VI, and the following month included the track “Tree, ” which linked Lil Wayne with Chance the Rapper and Smino.
Beyond 2 Chainz appearing on most shows, the itinerary highlights three California dates with the Game on board: July 31 in Concord, Aug. 1 in Long Beach, and Aug. 28 in Fresno.
With the Lil Wayne Tour now covering a wider stretch of late summer into fall, the updated routing gives fans additional options across regions, including the newly emphasized Des Moines stop and the back-to-back Michigan dates.
