Brooke Mitchell, 28, was arrested during a series of targeted police raids and is one of eight people charged following an investigation by Strike Force Dulce. The syndicate is alleged to have coordinated the manufacture and commercial supply of ketamine, cocaine, MDMA and LSD. Mitchell and others face charges that include commercial drug supply, participating in a criminal group, and dealing with proceeds of crime.
What Was Seized and Where Were the Arrests Made?
Mitchell was arrested at an Earlwood home alongside her fiancé, 45-year-old Azaria Byrne, and a 61-year-old woman. Following a search of the property, officers allegedly found the following items:
- MDMA, LSD, cocaine and ketamine
- 812 tablets of diazepam
- Cannabis
- $20, 000 in cash
- A flick knife and firearm parts
After the raid, Mitchell and Byrne were taken to Burwood Police Station and charged. Investigations under Strike Force Dulce are ongoing.
