Then came the inning that broke the game open. In the bottom of the second, the Huskies put up six runs with two outs, sending 12 hitters to the plate in a rally that didn’t slow down. Petteys ignited the two-out surge with a single to left that scored Caylee De Meo. Haley Coupal followed with an RBI double to left center, bringing home Savannah Ring. Kaitlyn Breslin kept pressure on with a double to right center that scored both Petteys and Coupal.

The rally finished with De Meo’s two-run single to center, scoring Breslin and Ava Calciano to push the lead to 8-0.

In the circle, Caprice Bohmer made her 14th start of the season and went all five innings. Bohmer allowed one run on three hits and struck out five, finishing the complete-game effort as the Huskies closed out the sweep.
