“Lisa Hochstein Surrenders: Alleged Bugging of Ex-Husband’s Car in Miami”

Lisa Hochstein, a star from the “Real Housewives of Miami,” recently surrendered to authorities amid serious allegations. Reports surfaced that she is accused of placing a recording device inside her ex-husband’s car during their divorce proceedings.

Details of the Incident

On Wednesday, Hochstein arrived at Miami-Dade’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, smiling while accompanied by attorney Jayne Weintraub. The law enforcement records indicated that Hochstein had a warrant for her arrest, with a bond set at $5,000.

Charges Filed

A court filing dated March 19 revealed Hochstein and her ex-boyfriend, Jody Glidden, age 52, face one count of interception of wire, oral, or electronic communications. The charges allege they unlawfully intercepted communications from Leonard Hochstein, Lisa’s ex-husband, between March 12 and March 31, 2023.

Recording Device Discovery

According to the arrest warrant, Hochstein and Glidden placed the recording device in the driver’s seat floorboard of Leonard Hochstein’s 2023 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 SUV. The placement occurred after Lisa requested to use the vehicle, citing interest in purchasing a similar model.

Investigation Findings

Leonard Hochstein discovered the device and promptly informed his attorney, who subsequently hired a private investigator to examine it. Investigators recovered a total of 98 recordings from the device. This included not only communications involving Leonard and others but also a conversation between Lisa and Glidden during the placement of the device. Additionally, detectives found deleted recordings that captured intimate moments between Hochstein and Glidden.

Recent Developments

Glidden was arrested over the weekend but has since been released. The divorce between Lisa and Leonard Hochstein was finalized in November 2024. They have two children together.

Statements from Counsel

In a joint statement released to El-Balad, defense attorneys Jayne Weintraub for Lisa Hochstein and Howard Srebnick and Frank Gaviria for Jody Glidden emphasized that this situation stems from an ongoing contentious divorce and should not be treated as a criminal matter. Weintraub confirmed that Lisa willingly turned herself in to authorities for processing and would be released on her own recognizance.
