Paige Joins WWE, Set to Wrestle Matches
Wrestler Paige, whose real name is Saraya, has officially re-signed with WWE after a significant absence. Reports from AEW Fightful Select confirm her return. Previously, Paige had been vocal about her desire to return to WWE, despite initially facing disinterest from WWE executives including Triple H.
Return Timing and Match Announcement
The timing of Paige’s return is noteworthy. She left All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in March 2025 after a three-year stint. Now, she is set to make a surprise appearance in Las Vegas. Paige will step in as a last-minute substitute for the injured Nikki Bella in a Women’s Tag-Team Title Fatal-4-Way match.
Event Details
- Event Date: Saturday night
- Location: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas
- Match Type: Women’s Tag-Team Title Fatal-4-Way
- Replacement: Paige for Nikki Bella
This last-minute replacement will allow Paige to team with Brie Bella, which is expected to garner a positive reaction from fans. WWE had earlier hinted that The Bella Twins would participate, but the current plans indicate a significant shift.
Paige’s Previous WWE Tenure
Before her previous departure in June 2022, Paige had shifted to a non-wrestling role in WWE. She even served as the SmackDown General Manager. Fans were uncertain whether she would return to the ring at that time due to injury concerns.
Since her exit, Paige has competed in 27 matches under AEW and an additional 2 on the independent circuit, alongside her ventures in New Japan wrestling. This experience has equipped her well, as she prepares to return to WWE and wrestle again.
