The New England Patriots are actively enhancing their roster after the 2026 NFL Draft, where they made nine selections. Following the draft, the focus shifts to signing undrafted free agents (UDFAs). Patriots’ Roster Updates
Currently, the Patriots have 81 players on their roster, leaving nine available spots on the 90-man limit. While not all of these openings will be filled by UDFAs immediately, many will be. Some roster spots may eventually accommodate veteran signings or additional UDFAs after the rookie minicamp.
Besides outright contracts, the Patriots can offer workout deals to players. These contracts act as invitations for rookie minicamp, allowing players the opportunity to earn full contracts later.
