A speeding Ford Fusion crashed into a home on Detroit’s west side on Sunday afternoon, striking a gas meter and sparking a fire that displaced a family but left the three people inside unhurt. Police said the crash happened on Harlow Street at Puritan just before 4 p.m.

Witnesses said the sedan was traveling about 60 to 70 mph before the driver lost control. said the car clipped two parked vehicles and then went straight into the house. said he heard two booms that shook the block.
