The apple weather app stopped loading for some U.S. iPhone users on Tuesday afternoon. Multiple Mashable employees in the United States also could not open it, and one editor said it finally loaded after about 10 seconds.

DownDetector did not have a dedicated page for Apple’s Weather app, which limited public tracking of the outage. It did show sudden spikes in reports for The Weather Channel app and for Apple Support around the same period, which suggests that some users were chasing workarounds instead of waiting on the built-in app itself.

By mid-afternoon on Tuesday, Apple’s status website said the Weather app outage had been resolved. For users who were still seeing delays, the practical move was to retry the app rather than assume their phone was broken, since the disruption appears to have been tied to Apple’s service status rather than a device-specific failure.
