Entalula Beach Leads 2026 Beaches Ranking in the Philippines
Entalula Beach in the Philippines was named the best of the 2026 beaches, taking the top spot in a ranking of 50 beaches worldwide. The beach in Palawan is only accessible by boat, a detail that fits the list’s focus on places judged for calm water, lack of crowds and the odds of perfect conditions.
World’s 50 Beaches 2026
Time Out Worldwide published the annual list, titled The world’s 50 best beaches have been crowned for 2026. The ranking drew on over 1,000 travel pros who nominated their favourite beach before the team at World’s 50 Beaches, working with a dedicated group of Beach Ambassadors, vetted the entries.
Each Beach Ambassador nominated three beaches, and each beach was then ranked across eight criteria: uniqueness, wildlife, untouched nature, soundtrack of nature, easy to enter water, calm water, lack of crowds and the odds of perfect conditions. That process put Entalula ahead of every other beach on the 2026 list.
Palawan and the top ranks
Fteri Beach on Kefalonia in Greece ranked second, Wharton Beach in Western Australia ranked third and Nosy Iranja in Madagascar ranked fourth. Nosy Iranja has two islets connected by a 2-kilometre sandbar that disappears in high tide.
The ranking gives Palawan the year’s top place in a list built from global nominations and eight-point scoring, while the rest of the top four spreads attention across Greece, Western Australia and Madagascar. For readers looking at destinations on the list, the practical takeaway is simple: the beach at the top is Entalula, and it sits on a small island reached only by boat.
