San Diego Zoo sets May 2 Food, Wine and Brew event

The San Diego Zoo will hold its annual Food, Wine and Brew Celebration on Saturday, May 2, with VIP entry at 6:30 p.m. and general admission at 7:30 p.m. The san diego zoo event pairs tasting stations, live music, and access through the zoo grounds with proceeds going to wildlife conservation.

San Diego Zoo Food, Wine and Brew

Guests will be able to sample bite-sized offerings from Buona Forchetta, Chicken Pie Shop, Del’s Hideout, and Lia’s Lumpia. Beer and wine will come from Southern California beverage makers including Altisima Winery, Boochcraft, Helix Brewing Co., and Mike Hess Brewing, while complimentary soft drinks and water will also be provided.

Tickets cost $179, and guests must be 21 or older to purchase one. Before entering the zoo, they must present a valid ID. Infants and children are not allowed at the event.

Conservation Stage Near Reptile Plaza

Organizers expect over 3,000 attendees this year, and all food and drink samples are included with admission. Guests can move through the zoo and take in live entertainment and music from several locations, including the new Conservation Stage near Reptile Plaza.

The event is more than a tasting night for visitors who want food, drinks, and music in one place. All proceeds will benefit the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, the nonprofit that oversees both the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

May 2 At The Zoo

For anyone planning to attend, the event is set for one night only on Saturday, May 2, with entry times split between VIP guests and general admission. That makes the key decisions straightforward: buy a ticket if you are 21 or older, bring valid identification, and plan to arrive for the entry window that matches your ticket.
