Savannah Bananas Draw 1,000 Fans to Navasota Pop-Up Game
The savannah bananas brought a free pop-up Banana Ball game to Navasota High School on Thursday evening, and the first 1,000 fans were the only ones admitted. Gates opened at 5:30 p.m. at 1 Rattler Drive, where the first-come, first-served setup turned the campus into a short-window entry event against the Texas Tailgaters.

The Bananas announced at 5:31 p.m. that capacity had been reached. By then, parking had already closed and no additional vehicles were allowed on site, a hard stop that matched the event’s limited scale and left late arrivals outside the fence line.
The game was free and open to the public, but access was not open-ended. Fans needed to arrive early enough to clear the 1,000-person cutoff, and once a guest exited the plaza or stadium, re-entry was not permitted. That made the timing as important as the ticket price, which was zero.
Pre-Game Plaza Access
Wristbanded attendees could enter the Pre-Game Plaza at 4:30 p.m., an hour before the gates opened. Merchandise tents were already selling gear for both the Savannah Bananas and the Texas Tailgaters, and the plaza also included live performances, interactive entertainment, appearances by players, cast members, mascots, and surprise guests.
The school campus at 1 Rattler Drive sits directly off State Highway 90, and organizers warned of heavy traffic heading in that direction. ADA parking was available on a first-come, first-served basis, while the event itself stayed cashless and accepted cards or mobile pay only.
Banana Ball World Tour
Thursday’s stop was part of the Banana Ball World Tour, with the free pop-up show giving Navasota a one-night look at a team that is also headed to Sugar Land in August. For fans who made the cutoff, the practical reality was simple: get there early, bring a wristband for plaza access, and expect the lot to fill fast.
